Activity, health and leisure
Football sessions that revolved around mental health during a cost of living crisis offered numerous benefits in promoting positive activity and leisure. By providing a low-cost recreational option, facilitating social interaction, reducing mental health stigma, offering emotional support, and fostering resilience, these sessions significantly contributed to individuals' wellbeing. Engaging in football not only improved physical health but also acted as a coping mechanism, offering temporary relief from financial stress and creating a supportive community. By recognising the importance of mental health within the context of recreational activities, society better addressed the challenges posed by a cost of living crisis and prioritised the wellbeing of our participnats.
