Providing support and funding to cricket clubs across the country as they return to cricket.
By Aylsham St Giles Cricket Club
Aylsham St Giles Cricket Club is planning to bring back the joy of active sport for youngsters in the local community, in the form of that great game cricket.
Led by ECB-qualified Coaches, Aylsham St Giles Cricket Club shall be providing junior cricket coaching at its home venue, Aylsham Recreation Ground, in three different age groups. The youngest group, typically aged 5 - 8 years, shall participate in the ECB's 'All Stars' programme, now into its fourth season. The next older aged group, typically aged 8 - 11 years, shall participate in the ECB's 'Dynamos' programme, newly launched in 2020. The oldest age group, typically 11- 14, shall develop their cricketing skills in preparation for competitive youth fixtures, for those eligible for our new U-13 8-a-side pairs cricket team, or for progressing into the Sunday Friendly team.. (The Club has a track record of successfully introducing youth players in their early teenage years into the Sunday team, with mentor support and opportunities to shine).
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We want to lead the return to collective participation and social interaction in a fun environment for children from the local community in and around Aylsham, to re-discover or to experience for the first time the joy of practicing the skills of and playing cricket.
