Updates
Hi backers, thanks for your continued support for this project. We have made some changes to the budget to reflect the fluctuating prices of the items we're crowdfunding for but the nature of what we will be delivering remains the same! We are also delighted to announce that we have received the following in-kind donations towards this project: Tony from Justroofing Leicester Limited has offered to repair the roof in-kind! We have also received an in-kind donation for the paint & labour. Thanks so much to these amazing organisations for their generous support. Please continue to share this crowdfunding campaign in your network, your support is greatly appreciated as we look to receive a pledge from Leicester City Mayor! Cheers, Atlas Community Amateur Boxing Club

Gwendolen Road, Leicester, LE5 5FN
During the pandemic the club opened its doors and developed Atlas Minds mental health project, this was founded after a need was identified for this service in the community, because of the project an idea started to grow with the idea to develop a safe space for the wider community to be able to use the club. People will be able to use the drop-in service for a youth & community hub, parent and child support groups, study sessions, alternative education, skills workshops, and personal development opportunities. To develop the idea further the club needs to improve the facilities and carry out repair work to the roof. there is a current crowd fund page with a target of £10,681. A family fun day was held at the club to raise funds towards the repairs. On the build up to the fundraiser we engaged with the community asking them to be involved and to donate, twenty local businesses paid £25 to have a stall, a BBQ company donated all their profits from the day, six event size gazebos were donated in the event of rain! A local packaging company donated all the disposable but recyclable plates, cups, and food bags. A local marketing company printed all the promotional materials for free! Twenty people volunteered to steward the event and we raised £2700!
Connecting people, ideas, and support from the crowd to make Leicester an even better place to be!
