Local artists delighted to see their artwork on display in Preston city centre
Blog PrestonThe work of 15 local artists has gone on display in central Preston. Art on the Streets of Preston is a project created by Enjoy the Show’s Garry Cook to showcase the creative artwork of the people of Preston. We went to find out more.\n\n15 pieces of art, printed on A0-sized boards, have gone on display on the old BHS building hoardings. The environment
Improved Preston City Centre visually - displaying art for people to enjoy.
The local economy
All work was printed by a local printer. People visited city centre specifically to see artworks, spending money locally in cafes etc.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Increased invisibilty of Preston artists, some of who have gained new comissions from work being displayed.
Arts, culture & heritage
Huge local engagement due to outdoor location. Massive positive response on social media to artworks. Gave confidence and inspiration to artists who took part.

Encouraged people to visit city centre - walking/exercise.
