The Latest from New life for Community Arts, Upton Park

We are delighted to report that we have completed our feasibility report on the old library building in Plashet Park.  We carried out an extensive public consultation amongst local residents and presented a 10 day festival of performing arts and craft workshops in order to engage with the community.

We used the funding to instigate engineering, structural and electrical reports on the building along with CAD drawings.  The information was used to commission Studio Gil architects to produce a full feasibility report for the future of the builidng.

We were then able to complete a full business plan for the future of the building and we have since completed a full planning application for the intiial refurbishment.

Our building is now open to the public providing theatre, rehearsal, exhibition and rehearsal spaces, as well as a welcoming community cafe which welcomes visitors 360 days of the year.
