Updates
GREAT NEWS !!......I am pleased to let you know that we have now completed our project to install solar panels on the Village Hall. On Friday 12 July, SSE completed their electrical work and CP Jefferies commissioned the system. From that date we are now generating our own solar energy and can start to realise the benefits. A special thank you to Mark Gluning who has been very busy recently co-ordinating the works. We started the project in September last year and so it is a great feeling to have now completed it. it was a fantastic team effort. It would not have been possible without the exceptional support we received from the Ampney Crucis Community so thanks again. Please feel free to pop-in and view the installation if you are passing. Best Wishes Anne
We would like to give you an update on the current status of our project to install Solar Panels on the Village Hall. Since we reached our target fundraising, planning the project has commenced led by Mark Gluning. We awarded the contract to CP Jefferies who we now work closely with to prepare for implementation Key milestones reached: • Agreement of the scope, ie, 1 x Inverter, 22 x Solar Panels and 3 x Batteries • Clearance of the store-room by volunteers to enable equipment installation • Removal of the chimney during the first week of May • Clearance of the loft by volunteers • Installation of roof insulation by CP Jefferies • Upgrade of the electrical supply to 3-Phase by SSE. We are still waiting for a date, but it should be by the end of June. • Fixing of the Solar Panels to the roof completed A big thank you to everyone who has helped with the above. We are now eagerly awaiting the final installation to take place followed by system commissioning and then operation. We are anticipating that this will be completed a few days after the 3-phase upgrade has been completed. Finally, we were very pleased to be advised that Spacehive have nominated our project and fundraising campaign for ‘The Engagement Campaign of the Year’ at the Unlock Net Zero Awards to be held in June. This is great news and is a recognition of the fantastic support received from the Ampney Crucis Community - so thank you.
Hi Everyone It is with great pleasure that I can confirm we have now reached our fundraising target of £30,163 for Village Hall solar panels, raising a total of £30,290. A special thank you to the Parish Council who made a further donation that ensured we achieved our goal. The fund is now closed. This is a fantastic achievement and is entirely due to the 115 donations we received which was really appreciated and so on behalf of the Village Hall Trustees and Committee a big thank you is due to everyone once again. This is obviously not the end as we now move on to implementing the project so we can realise the planned benefits. We will be posting regular progress updates to everyone on how the project is going and we hope that the project will be completed within 3-4 months. This will be an important step for the Village Hall to improve its profile and we look forward to your continued support. Thanks again and kind regards Anne
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
Hello Everyone Thanks again to everyone for your continued support for our project. We have 5 says to go until our fundraising campaign has to close on Friday 19 January. As of today, we have received donations of £27,224 compared to our target of £30,240 which is great but we are still have a little way to go and need to raise a further £3,016. We are now developing a plan to ensure we will meet our target but would welcome any additional donations so if you know of anyone who has not donated so far but would be interested in doing so, this can be done through the Spacehive website: www.spacehive.com/ampneyvillagehallsolar I will keep you updated with progress so look out for a message on Friday to let you know the outcome Thanks again and kind regards Anne
