More about our impact
The environment
Artists Walk provided an enjoyable art trail through the grounds of Alexandra Palace during three months over 2021 summer. Many people enjoyed the artworks and we had wonderful feedback from the public who loved the displays and said that it got people visiting parts of the part they won't normally visit.
The local economy
Many artists have reported sales directly from the exhibition and some have even had work commissioned.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We helped 26 local artists gain visibility within the community and commissioned two artworks from local artists Julia Clarke and Ben Wilson. Rosha Nutt and Holly Collier provided project management and marketing and we provided some work experience to a number of young people in coordination with the Creative Learning Department from Alexandra Palace. A number of blog posts were written and published on the Alexandra Palace website. The YPPT's group of young creatives photography work was included within the trail and we ran an online workshop that is available on You Tube for young people thinking of getting into a creative industry.
Arts, culture & heritage
It was wonderful to bring some local artwork out into the grounds of Alexandra Palace and celebrate local creativity in such a stunning, culturally rich environment.
Activity, health and leisure
The Art Trail encouraged the public to walk through the grounds and explore areas they might otherwise not have ventured. It also brought people from the wider community to the park to visit.
