East Rainton Cricket Club desperately require funding to purchase a new (second hand) cutter for the upcoming season. Our current Toro cutter broke down last season and cannot be repaired.
The club was formed in 1849 with our first recorded match occurring in that year against the now defunct Moorsley C.C. The club played in the North East Durham league between 1897 and 2019. The club has a proud record of holding the league championship on 22 occasions - a league record. In 2019 we became a founder member of the Durham & North East League. The club operates two teams in Division 4 and Division 5.
The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
