East Rainton Cricket Club desperately require funding to purchase a new (second hand) cutter for the upcoming season. Our current Toro cutter broke down last season and cannot be repaired.
During a hot summer day, the last thing we all want to do is hit a crisp cover drive that fails to reach the boundary due to a poorly cut outfield. We would like to raise funds to ensure that this doesn’t happen. Our current Toro cutter broke down last season and we will struggle to cut the outfield without a replacement cutter. The new second hand, reconditioned cutter will help us to maintain the outfield not only for cricket but other community activities too. Who are East Rainton Cricket Club??? - East Rainton Cricket Club were established in 1849, playing mainly friendly games until they joined the North East Durham League in 1896. The club currently runs 2 teams along with introducing local school children to cricket. The club play their home games at the Hazard and have done since 1901.
