The environment

Reducing our energy consumption reduced our gas usage by 20% which is approximately 2 tonnes of CO2.

The local economy

The local economy

We are able to host events such as the Christmas market which had over 50 vendors selling their products via stalls. Supporting local businesses. We also hosted several concerts which helped raise money for local brass bands and musicians (e.g. Hepworth brass band).

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

we are able to share our learnings with other local organisations and churches to educate them on the benefits of solar energy and heat-loss imporovements. We are creating a 'how to' pack which we will share within the Diocese and with local businesses.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

We are able to maintain the church and it is now more viable to run as an event location for local musicians and bands. We hosted Hepworth brass band in December and had an audience of @200 people. This raised several thousand pounds for the church funds.
