We are an active and thriving group and our community activities are also expanding. The church and gallery room are being used regularly with over 900 local parishioners and residents passing through the doors.
Our carol service, Hepworth Band, New Mill Male Voice Choir, Holme Valley Orchestra, and The Mastersingers concerts were all well attended recent successful events. Earlier, soprano Nicola Mills treated us to a super concert, and the Kyiv Classic Accordion Duo Oleksiy and Igor have regaled us with their superb musicianship and virtuosity on many occasions over the last couple of decades during their annual UK tours. Holmfirth Choral Society held Come & Sing afternoons, we held a very successful Christmas Market, and we have more concerts and social events in the pipeline.
Having completed our new extension building housing new toilets and a disabled lift, we reordered our kitchen and decorated the gallery room. We have new tables and chairs, and are hoping to kit out the gallery room with new audio-visual equipment. Then we will need to look at energy conservation in church and aim to become carbon neutral by 2030 . . . . .
