WPRFC has been in existence since 1907 as a amateur rugby club for all. We are CASC status Community Amateur Sports Club. The club is managed and run by volunteers who spend many hours a week to provide sporting facilitates, sport ,well being and social interaction to the community.
We have over 1000 members and associate members with teams from under 6 little ruggers to under 18's. Three senior men's teams, Ladies team, two girls team's, walking rugby and touch rugby teams. We support the community with other groups using our facilities including guides, brownies, cycling club, hockey club and a toddler group.
We continue to strive to be inclusive and upgrade the club facilities when we have the opportunities to raise funds for projects.
Presently the toilet facilities on the ground floor and changing room area do not cater for females and people with disabilities who attend the club. We want to aspire to have appropriate toilet facilities so they are not deterred from enjoying the club experience. This project will assist in achieving this, bringing the rugby game to a continuing growing market for females to play sports which were historically male dominated sports.
