First Worthing grant from West Sussex Crowd goes to Worthing Mental Health Awareness Week
Worthing HeraldBob Smytherman, who co-founded the week with Carol Barber in 2013, explained: “The crowdfunding campaign meant gifts in kind were recognised by Worthing County Local Committee, who then generously awarded a grant to cover the cost of the website\n“The website was designed by Worthing website creator Stacey Church from Lime Pixel, who has worked tirelessly in order to get the website up and running in time for the annual Worthing Mental Health Awareness Week, which coincides with World Mental Heal

Volunteering, jobs & education
We engaged around 700 people during the week and trained 34 people with an accredited Suicide Awareness Training and hosted the Dementia Action Alliance with a guest speaker discussing Dentistry for people with Dementia and their Carers.
Activity, health and leisure
Our local Leisure Services provider South Downs Leisure provided a workshop session about the services on offer to support the physical and mental wellbeing of the community.
