More about our impact
The environment
As the festival is local and quite central most people come by foot or take public transportation.
The local economy
We do have local food stalls and arts and crafts stalls that do benefit from our festivals in Kent.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We have local people who volunteer for our festivals and we work with the Ashford Volunteer Centre to find and train up new volunteers every year.
Arts, culture & heritage
The festival delivered what it set out to do and over the next 2 years it has increased its output with increasing number of artists involved and community groups involved.
Activity, health and leisure
We promote dance and tai-chi workshops as part of the festival where everyone can join in and learn a new activity. Over about 150 people joined in with different workshops and activities.
