More about our impact
The environment
We have generated enough renewable electricity to reduce our carbon emissions by the equivalent of planting 217 trees. We have used the cafe for a variety of community events and workshops.
The local economy
Our regular markets have showcased local entrepreneurs and one of the gardening groups on site has managed weekly plant sales.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Throughout 2019 we held weekly volunteer days and had regular workshops covering subjects like seed saving, food growing, healthy cooking, flower arranging, botanical art, basket making.
Arts, culture & heritage
The Palm House at Wolves Lane has been a well loved part of the local community for about 50 years, so keeping it open for people to enjoy is important to us.
Activity, health and leisure
Volunteers tackle big gardening jobs at Wolves Lane and enjoy a vegetarian lunch on volunteer days.
