Volunteering, jobs & education

We presently have two support workers and shall shortly employ two asset workers who will work with service users towards employment. We are also planning to offer space for 'Hotel School', in conjunction with The Passage and a social enterprise cafe with the Connection at St Martins. These collaborations will provide opportunities to learn hospitality skills and support homeless and vulnerable people in their first steps into work. We are also looking at other partnerships to offer education and training workshops to support our clients and other local people (back) into the workplace. We are currently working with Artisan People, a recruitment firm who came in and met with some of our clients and carried out mock interviews with them. We are working closely with them towards finding employment for our clients. In just a number of weeks, we had one service user find employment in Manchester and move there. Another is now employed in Victoria as a kitchen porter.
