As you are all aware the club as come to a unprecedented closure for the 2020 cricket season. In an initiative of the ECB, Willoughby Cricket Club has joined forces with clubs across the nation to help support our own club during this lockdown period. As a voluntary run, self funded club like many in our region- we strongly rely on incoming funds such as: -*yearly membership subs, *match fees, *bar takings, *and our other fundraising initiatives. Due to the sharp closure, the club/ play has come to a halt meaning so have the funds but the club still has to run on the background. We are appealing to our Willoughby family and friends to support and help us to raise funds through this ECB Spacehive Platform. It is a short formatted crowdfunding timescale that only runs until the END OF JUNE. What we'll deliver:

• Ground Maintenance
• Pavilion Maintenance
• Help with facility bills-supporting maintenance
• Shed Maintenance- supporting the rebuild of the new floor.

Why it's a great idea:

This will help keep the club alive! When the cricket season returns, we have to be ready for play. This means that behind the scenes- work has to continue. Looking after the ground constantly will secure all the hard work already put into preparing the square and outfield. Continuing the small improvements in the pavilion will allow the club to be reopened to members and visitors on our return in a fit and welcoming state- stood bare for what could end up being between 9-12 months is taking its toll and maintenance has to continue. The shed floor is in the starting phases of improvements and needs to be completed before the season gets underway. This was going to plan until lockdown restrictions were ensured. All of this maintenance is taking its toll due to the lack of income.

Steps to get it done:

• June 30th- completion of shed floor
