At some point in our lives we have all thought, 'Who do I turn to?'. For the young people of our local area, we aim to be the people that come to mind.
#WhoDoITurnTo? is first and foremost a safe space for young people aged 14-25, run mainly with young volunteers we like to call 'experts through experience' offering peer support. We will invite services to run sessions that are open to everyone on topics such as mental health, drugs/alcohol and emotional well being. Alongside all the serious stuff we aim to offer a wide variety of fun, educational and creative groups for people to take part in. Eventually, we want to host events such as a non-alcoholic raves and sports events.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
For far too long if a person doesn't fit into a certain 'box' they are turned away from receiving the help they need and deserve. We aim to provide guidance, information and most importantly love and kindness to support young people through whatever situation or problem they might be experiencing. What makes us unique is the unquestionable commitment of the young volunteers to help their peers, proving to be priceless work.
