The idea
To bring together the local community, helping people EXCERCISE, eat healthier and enjoy music and song. All this whilst building friendships and preventing social isolation and loneliness. We aim to make these sessions fun and inclusive. Being able to connect to like minded people and come together to achieve the same results.
Through music we will provide gentle excercises which are inclusive for all( armchair Zumba, armchair yoga, dance ).
Through song we will create a group who love music and singing. We will go out into the community and perform for local care homes and events. Any age or ability is welcomed.
Through learning about foods and what to eat, providing a cooking session to learn new healthy recipes whilst having fun, will aid healthy eating and weight management.
To provide training courses for the wider community

I have suffered from poor mental health and weight issues most of my adult life. Together with my friend Angela we started stronger together carers last year and have gone from strength to strength. We want to start these sessions for our group members and wider community to help bring people together and form friendships and build up trust. Bringing people of all ages and abilities together to learn from each others skills and abilities gives that person a sense of with.
We wanted to creat a group that is fun filled and heart warming. Creating smiles and laughter.
To have EXCERCISE sessions that are fun and not demanding, inclusive to all( Zumba and armchair Zumba, yoga and armchair yoga, ) making these sessions fun people don’t realise they are excercising.
To provide healthy eating advice in a fun fact filled way, to provide cooking demonstrations and tasting sessions. Enabling people to try new foods and easy recipes that are good for you and help manage weight.
