Good Things FoundationBizEd Projects CIC in Shropshire aims to bridge the digital divide by empowering the community with digital skills and confidence. Their two weekly drop-in sessions have supported over 124 community members, offering a friendly space to learn essential skills like online banking and video calls, with devices and data provided by Good Things Foundation. \n\nThe drop-in’s have delivered significant improvements in digital literacy, social inclusion, and a reduction in isolation.
More about our impact
The environment
We have only purchased 2nd hand or refurbished technology, saving mamy devices from landfill and giving them a new lease of life!
The local economy
We have delivered digital skills and support for our community for a wide range of individuals since April 2025. We have supported many unemployed young people and adults with cv writing and searching for jobs and donated devices and data. We have taken on additional volunteers and recruited a new manager. We have secured additional space to provide much needed access to digital devices. We have created new clubs and are connecting young people to wider skills, career and employment opportunities with local organisations.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We support a wide range of adults through 1:1 and group activities. We have trained our volunteers and they are benefitting through our work with Good Things Foundation. We hope through our digital training activity growth to be able to offer more paid employment opportunities in the future.
Arts, culture & heritage
We have worked with organisations in the creative media sector to help raise the profile of the town and as part of our 14-16 club to give young people opportunities to explore creative careers.
