SCA was established in 2000 as an umbrella network of community groups working in one of the most deprived parts of Ealing with the aim of providing a voice for Southall, improving civic participation of residents and supporting local regeneration.
We are now a registered charity and work with local voluntary groups, supporting their capacity building needs and work with them as partners. We also work closely with Ealing Council, the police, local college etc in delivery of regeneration projects in Southall.
Achievements :
- Creation of community resource centre in 2003 for the benefit of local organisations and residents, offering free hot desks, meeting rooms, access to IT etc
- helping over 100 community groups access over £4,000,000 of funding since 2005
- strong track record of delivering health projects in Southall with partners such as British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK and Public Health Ealing
- Involve residents in shaping local developments through our Community Forum and network meetings
