Maya's Community Support Centre is a community interest company established in Deccember 2022 supporting those in need. A front line service helping service users combat poverty and poor Mental Health. The organisation provides a community support centre, 4,000 square foot FREESHOP, Food bank / larder, Community Cafe. We deliver a range of support groups , workshops and training to improve our service users well being. We have almost 200 volunteers , many of whom have their own mental health challenges. We recently were awarded The (presitgious) King's Award for Voluntary Service. Our latest impact study (October 2025) , verified by a Professor from the University of Kent showed a social impact value of £2,792,367 annually, having 116,272 visits from service users from all over Kent. In 2024 we were awarded the BBC Make A Difference Award (Green Category) saving over 10,000 tonnes of CO2 in the last 12 months. We are a forward thinking, multi award winning innovative organisation (our CEO was named as The Big Issue's Top 100 Change Makers in 2025) , who can react quickly to changes of need from our service users. In the past year we have supported 670 individuals going through mental health challenges.
