Kingdom Overflow (KO) is dedicated to offering a place of belonging, wellbeing and spiritual health to young people in Havering.
KO Management Group, which runs this project is a sub-committee of St. Luke's PCC and is made up of professionals with experience in youth work, finance, charity management, teaching and education.
We have built up relationships with local young people through our connection with 6 local schools (three of which we work in) and our long-term presence in the community we serve.
In the past few years we have watched with increasing concern the plight of young people suffering mental health problems and yet being unable to access professional help in a timely manner, due to funding and capacity constraints in the system.
This problem is compounded tby the fact that even if they access one-off help, there is no ongoing relational support.
This prompted us to set up the Kingdom Overflow Wellbeing Project some three years ago. Through this we reach around 230 youing people per week through drop-ins and contact with our schools-based staff.
