BBC Radio Leicester interview6 years ago

Wow! Just had a phone call from Rupal Rajani from BBC Radio Leicester, inviting me to give a short plug for the project. I should be on about 9.40am, Saturday 17th October. Many thanks to Rupal for supporting us.

Funding Pitch6 years ago

Off tomorrow afternoon to pitch for funding from the YMCA Heritage Programme. If successful we will have one of their young persons on a work placement helping to support this project and develop skills, self esteem and confidence. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Initial meeting with Head of Arts and team at Leicester City Council6 years ago

Good meeting this morning by phone with the Head of Arts, Leicester City Council and his team, myself (Debbie, Kids Club Tutor), and Marvin (Director of Marvellous Art Gallery), to discuss our project. The city council like the idea and are happy to support. They gave us some good suggestions to consider for the impact of the project after it is completed, which has my mind (Debbie), buzzing again with creative ideas! We would like the project to have a long term impact for the community beyond the festival and maybe lead to further community engagement activities. The wall space we have proposed for the project is not under ownership of the city council, so we are awaiting a email from them to advise as to whom we need to contact for permission. I (Debbie), also need to follow up with Graffwerk on a item. Otherwise very happy with how things went this morning.
