Vesta Community Sauna C.I.C is a not-for-profit organisation founded to bring accessible, affordable wellness to Stroud and its surrounding valleys.
We are passionate about making the physical and mental benefits of sauna and ice therapy available to everyone, regardless of income or background. Our mission is simple: create a welcoming, inclusive space where people can relax, recover, and reconnect, supporting the well-being of the entire community.
Founded by two local residents with a deep love for Stroud and its vibrant community spirit, we recognised a gap: wellness facilities such as saunas are often expensive, exclusive, or part of high-end gyms and spas. Many people in our area don’t have access to these services, despite the well-documented physical and mental health benefits they offer.
Vesta Community Sauna was created to change that. As a Community Interest Company (C.I.C.), our profits will be reinvested directly back into the facility, ensuring we can keep membership costs low and offer discounted or free access for people in financial hardship. We are also committed to collaborating with local organisations, such as fitness groups, schools, healthcare providers, and social enterprises, to broaden participation and make our services as inclusive as possible.
Our team brings together a unique mix of skills, including experience in education, health, community outreach, and business management. More importantly, we are embedded in the local area—we live, work, and raise families here. We understand the needs of our community and are excited to create a wellness space that reflects its values: community-driven, inclusive, and accessible.

We’ve chosen this route because we believe the community should be at the heart of this project from the start.
