The Peabody Trust Grosvenor Estate consists of eight red brick Victorian buildings close to Oxford Street in Mayfair. More information on Peabody https://www.peabody.org.uk/home The GMRA is a volunteer committee who represent Grosvenor Estate residents.
As longstanding residents, we have experienced the joys and frustrations probably in equal measures of living on an estate in a central London location. We welcome positive change and it is our mission to enhance the well being of all who live on our estate with your help.
We envisage the Grosvenor Estate to be as environmentally friendly as possible and because we are an inner-city estate, we are encouraging more greening to improve our well being. We admire the estate's heritage status and we are proud of where we live.
THE GREENING MISSION
Our mission is to develop our green spaces, help to improve air quality and to keep us all as healthy as possible. Greening strengthens our mental health and encourages our children to grow up healthily and appreciate nature, especially in urban areas.
We believe Greening and Environment are inseparable. Planting encourages biodiversity, sustaining bees, butterflies and endangered species. Our vision is to be aspirational and inspirational and we expect Peabody Trust to be the same.
