Urban Room Old Kent Road
Urban Room Old Kent Road will be a new public space for discussions, exhibitions and the collective production of plans and ideas for an area of London where large-scale change is proposed.
About the Project Creator
Action OKR is a locally led initiative and a collaboration between community groups Peckham Weeklies, business association Vital OKR, businesses, residents and Cass Cities. Urban Room OKR evolved through a series of walks, talks, exhibitions and workshops that we organised together over the past three years and were attended by hundreds of people. Urban Room OKR is calling on all people with an interest in a good future for the Old Kent Road to engage and contribute to the plan making.
Previous events on OKR include:
knock'd'em in the Old Kent Road, 2016: Exhibition and talks at the Asylum church (London Festival of Architecture 2016)
Livesey Exchange open days, 2017: Hands-on workshops, 'this is not nothing' exhibition, walks and talks (Open House and Peckham Festival)
