The local economy
Visitors to the town have commented on how nice the decorations look, and locals agree that they do much to brighten the town up. Many of the attendees to the Xmas lights switch-on travelled to Upton for the event. The whole evening was immense, with pubs and shops bursting with folks.
Volunteering, jobs & education
The small volunteer group who organised the decorations has now swelled threefold in size due the the number of new volunteers who have joined the group.
