The idea
The current bowling green slopes on one corner which means the rink is unavailable for county matches. By leveling the bowling green it would increase the number of rinks available at county level enabling more people to participate.
During the hot summer months, the grass needs to be monitored and watered regularly to ensure the green remains in prime condition.
With an irrigation system installed this would ensure the green can be kept in good condition throughout the summer months.

Why it's a great idea
This project will increase the playing ability of the bowling green.
It will increase the opportunities for people to play lawn bowls within the village both in friendly matches and in competitions.
The irrigation system will keep the green in great condition without the area having to be constantly manned during the summer.

- Instruct a contractor to carry out the re-leveling of the bowling green
- Instruct a contractor to install the irrigation system to the bowling green
