A local community group of over 40 people have started to raise money for a much needed upgrade to a dilapidated school building. It is need of new cladding or rendering, complete updating of the electrical system, Inside painted and the outside area cleaned and updated, especially in the outside play area. The community group has already raised over £1400 and received material such as Paint, Flag Stones, Wood Chip free of charge. Local trades people (Builder,Electrician, Landscape Gardner,Carpet supplier, Wood Merchant and a Plumber) have given up their time to assist free of charge. The group have already started with the upgrade but need funding for the larger elements of the project

What we'll deliver:

• Upgrade the outside of the building Cladding or Rendering
• Update the inside with new carpets, curtains,signage and painting

Why it's a great idea:

Children in the 2-5 year will benefit from an up graded Pre School which is the only one in the local area. It will give them a safe clean environment to learn and play. The local area will have a new and improved building. The life expectancy of the building will be extended ensuring the community does not lose a valuable asset .

Steps to get it done:

• We have raised over £1400 and have painted and cleaned the inside of the building
• We have received Various materials free of charge from local firms
• We have commitment from local trades people to give up their time free of charge

Since we started the project in May 2024 it has brought awareness to the local community of the issue and strengthened the community spirit to get the job done.
