TRILLZ, an evolving Community Interest Company, was created to reduce gang affiliated crime, CSE, improve community cohesion, raise community aspirations and improve life chances for young people.
During the Pandemic (Post Lockdown 1) TRILLZ established a key Community partnership with Westend Junior Football Club, developing a voice and influence group of 25 young people (‘Westend Community Champions’) Westend serves a diverse community of over 400 families providing opportunities for all youngsters with 15-20% attending from disadvantaged backgrounds from different Wards.
This partnership witnessed volunteers Age 8 -16yrs deliver food, clothing, Christmas gifts and support to over a 1,000 vulnerable families/children affected by Covid-19. Over £100,000 in donations supported communities across Huddersfield, achieving remarkable impact.
Furthermore, TRILLZ developed powerful relationships with other local community organisations collaborating to help meet demand - establishing links to 15 school communities (Hub Co-ordinators).In December, Royds Hall Secondary Academy began a Safeguarding/ wellbeing programme to deal with major societal issues facing their communities. Students 12-16yrs & Primary pupils Age 7-11yrs; through a combination of school/community projects/provision, will engage and experience positive opportunities to improve their health, well-being and raising aspirations.
