Our committee came together in June in 2019 when we started our Neighbourhood Plan. As some of our members are on the Parish Council we have a joint website although we work independently as a group. We started out with 15 members .We met on a regular basis, every month , for 4 years , in order to create our Neighbourhood Plan. Even through lockdown , we had zoom meetings in order to keep the projecy alive.

We were exceptionally pleased with the response from residents who really became part of the plan and took part in all our surveys so that we could draw up a set of policies that would enhance the village and give residents what they wanted. We had 64% return on all surveys and an outstanding result when we went to the final vote to have the plan adopted .

At every point during the 4 years , we spoke to residents personally in order to gain their views of what should go into the plan . We had several open evenings where residents could see what progress we were making on the plan . We had some objections from one local industry but overcame the hurdles and ultimately achieved our goal. Our Neighbourhood Plan was adopted by CWaC in October 2023

Since then , we have continued to meet to create an Action Plan which aims to ensure that all our policies can be achieved . We lost a few members along the way as people move on but gained other volunteers who want to help but don't necessarily want to be on the committee . All help is welcomed . We have several actions for the year one being the project described here. We are confident that we can achieve our goal and would be grateful for any suppoirt in achieving our aim.
