Elworth Cricket Club is managed by a Management Committee elected annually at the AGM, all the roles are voluntary and are listed in the club rules. The management group convenes monthly to review finances and to agree on-going action plans. A part time manager oversees the clubroom and bookings for social events and community groups. Volunteers regularly help with maintenance of all the club facilities. The club uses its network of members for expertise in the areas of business management, legal advice and trades. Elworth Cricket Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club providing excellent facilities for recreational sport and opportunities for parents to volunteer their active support to the participating children. Volunteers also support the coaching and organisation of cricket activities for all age groups. We want to realise the full potential the club has to support the community in tandem with the increased local housing base of over 1,250 new homes in the last 10 years. Established community groups and businesses already use the facility for meetings, as do local residents for social events. We have undertaken collections of food donations, to help local people in need of food aid, on behalf of the Sandbach Food Bank. We anticipate promoting our project in local schools, community groups and businesses using social media and leaflet campaigns in order to generate additional community use. At Elworth Cricket Club we believe in a world of welcoming communities. This club is a welcoming facility comprising motivated and connected people who want to provide a caring and valued centre to be enjoyed by the community. We want every local resident and community group to be able to share in the resources available to them at the club. First of all though we need to improve it to a standard that everyone can be proud of. Then together we can unlock all its potential for everybody's long term benefit.
