Help make Tottenham Pavilion happen
Self-Built, Self-Shaped, Pop-Up Pavilion. Testing an alternative model to traditional regeneration. Help us give local residents the chance to co-create an outdoor space on their own terms.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
About the Project Creator
Tottenham Pavilion, by Factory of Wonder CIC
We believe that communities who come together to create their own moments of wonder find a deeper sense of pride in their location, making new connections & creating lasting memories. Our vision is to develop & promote a model of operating that will change the way people interact on a hyper local level.
Factory of Wonder was recently formed as a social enterprise to run both Tottenham Pavilion & future placemaking projects. Prior to its formation, the three founding members all worked together on various projects run at Harringay Warehouse District.

Track Record:
Pallet Paradise (2015)
A site-specific installation, co-produced with leading spatial designer Jenna Jardine, utilising 629 recycled pallet boxes & a team of local artists. Aimed at broadening arts & community engagement by providing an alternative exhibition experience. Run for 1 weekend, the event attracted 2,400 people & coverage in the Evening Standard, London Live, BBC Radio 3 & was Time Out London’s highest clicked event that weekend.
Tottenham Pavilion Pilot (2019)
Forerunner to the current project, a pilot funded by Mayor of London Culture Seeds & private sponsorship. 7 x 1 day arts workshops were run from a marquee, culminating in a group exhibition. Creating employment opportunities for local artists & engaging 60 local residents. Everyone who attended felt much more connected as a result of the project (56% highest rating) & engaged a diverse audience (18-72, 39% BAME). 58% of attendees normally struggle to attend culture events regularly; from work/study commitments to not having anyone to go with – clearly addressing a local need.
Tottenham Pavilion (2020)
Launched initially as a competition, to be featured in the London Festival of Architecture. The competition attracted 166 international entrants & was judged by leading architects (inc. Katy Marks, Citizen Design Bureau & Clare Richards, FT works), local representatives & a community vote. A podcast series was produced for the revised Digital London Festival of Architecture (due to covid) – produced by leading architectural platform KooZ/arch (145k Instagram followers).
