We want to raise funds to invest in our junior section and develop the cricketers of tomorrow whilst giving opportunity for local children to have fun, be active and get outdoors.
We've worked hard to develop our junior section over the past 2 seasons. We want to regain that momentum after this enforced break due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It's hard to retain the interest of children when they won't have potentially played the sport for over a year so we want to invest in new equipment and improvements to our junior facilities to make ours a club they want to come back to and be involved with. We'd like to invest in the training of more coaches as we look to expand further, increasing the number of members and junior teams. Our philosophy for our junior cricket is that it should be affordable for all. We charge a minimal amount for membership and look to supply all the equipment required to train and play. We want to break down barriers to the sport and welcome children from all areas and backgrounds to our club.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Our aim is to introduce children to a sport we love. In doing that we hope to get them active, outdoors and having fun whilst learning new skills as well as how to be part of a team. Funding will enable us to provide everything required to do this without passing the costs on to the children's parents and guardians. We don't want cost to provide a barrier to our sport for any of our members.
