The idea
Our zip wire was one of the main attractions on the Tilston Playing Field. The old one sadly succumbed to the test of time and had to be retired. There were literally tears when it could no longer be saved and our charity is committed to providing new generations with another new version so the fun can continue and new friendships can be made in this green safe space.
Our playing field does not just serve villages within an eight mile radius but much further than that also and has become even more important of late as Malpas which is a much bigger village than us and is 4 miles away has recently had its CWAC supported recreational area closed partly down.
We have recently dedicated our own time to refurb our pavilion so we can rent it out for recreational birthday parties and general celebrations so having a new zip wire would be a huge bonus is attracting these bookings which will organically allow us to use the money to pay for our annual up keep.

Why it's a great idea
Our safe green space provides fun and exercise and community for families and friends from a very wide area. Our very popular pump track attracts visitors from far and wide and it will be absolutely amazing to be able to replace the much loved and accessible and inclusive zip wire to add to the overall experience of visitors to our field. It will also help as a benefit in selling our pavilion to use for parties which in turn will help in generating income towards our upkeep.
We are situated opposite the Tilston Primary School so it’s a great area for families to meet after school for the kids to let off steam and communicate and Mums and Dads and grandparents to engage with their play and the zip wire over the years has always been an integral part of this.

- Deciding on the provider and then installing the equipment
We would also as part of this spacehive application for the zipwire and its installation like to try and raise a further £1000 for the maintenance cost for the next five years.
