The idea
Thrive in Empowerment CIC wants to create Thrive Together, a mobile hub bringing creativity, community and practical support directly into neighbourhoods across Edmonton and Enfield.
Many local families face challenges including social isolation, financial pressures and limited access to affordable wellbeing activities. Through Thrive Together, we will deliver free community pop-ups, creative wellbeing workshops, pantry support and family engagement activities in schools, parks, community venues and local events.
Funding will help us purchase portable equipment including a branded gazebo, tables, chairs, creative resources, community engagement materials and pantry equipment. These resources will enable us to deliver activities in multiple locations throughout the year and reach more residents who may not otherwise access support.
The project builds on Thrive in Empowerment CIC’s existing work delivering the Bloom & Create Hub, Creative Wellbeing Programme, community pantry support
What we'll deliver
- Deliver free creative wellbeing workshops for children, young people and families across Edmonton and Enfield.
- Provide community pantry support and practical community engagement activities for local residents.
- Create a mobile community hub with equipment, resources and materials to deliver year-round community pop-up events.
Why it's a great idea
Thrive Together will improve wellbeing, reduce social isolation and strengthen community connections for local residents.
The project will provide accessible opportunities for children and young people to develop confidence, creativity and emotional wellbeing through creative activities and workshops. Families will benefit from practical support, community connections and opportunities to engage in positive local activities.
The project will also support volunteering, community participation and local partnerships, helping residents become more connected and involved in their neighbourhoods.
By delivering activities in different locations, Thrive Together will increase access to support and opportunities for residents who may otherwise face barriers to participation.
The project will contribute to creating stronger, healthier and more resilient communities across Edmonton and Enfield.
