A professional touring theatre company est. 1989 we are passionate about using theatre for change. We are a non-profit company operating without any revenue funding.
Using dynamic original theatre we seek to create works of art that are at once dark, beautiful – and human.
Since May 1989 we have written and produced original dramas exploring themes as diverse as Bullying, The Holocaust, Gun-crime, Social History, Diabetes, Accident prevention, Reminiscence, The Holocaust, Domestic Violence – even a musical about Football!
Based in Preston, Lancashire, our award-winning work has toured across the UK and even as far as the Falkland Islands to launch the Island's first ever domestic abuse awareness campaign.
Although we have perfomed in studio theatres, 800 seat theatres and other professional venues much of our work involves bringing professional theatre into community spaces - breaking down barriers to access to the arts - church halls, community centres, residential homes to name a few.
We have been at the forefront of domestic abuse drama since 1995.
What started as a ‘one-off’ domestic violence drama job, has developed into an issue that Claire and John care passionately about.
We have undertaken domestic violence training and spoken to thousands of victims and survivors of domestic violence. We have performed our domestic violence dramas to 100s of 1,000s of people nation-wide. Reaching survivors, public audiences, women’s groups, magistrates, probation workers, The Police, Solicitors, Schools, Colleges, volunteer agencies including the Samaritans, Victim Support, Women’s Aid and Refuge Staff and many more.
