Manchester Communication Academy is a mixed, non-selective school serving North Manchester children. Our lead sponsor at the academy is BT, who have a long and successful record of involvement in education.
We believe passionately in the power of an excellent education to transform lives and provide new opportunities for young people. We provide an exciting and challenging experience for our students in a supportive and caring environment.
The proof of our success is demonstrated by the quality of the daily experience we provide for young people. We have the highest expectations in term of teaching, learning and the standards our students achieve. We work on the principles that every child can be successful,
and we are doing things differently.
One of our most unique features is our rather special Community team, which is committed to providing opportunities for education and enrichment activities to people of all ages residing in the communities of North Manchester. We are responsible for all sorts of exciting activities and programmes such as our popular Sports & Leisure and Adult Learning programme, which have over 1500 weekly participants.
Other thriving projects include our free MCA Holiday Programmes for primary aged children, the Urban Crew, Once Upon A Time (local history project) and we now have a full time Community archaeologist on our team.
