More about our impact
The environment
Our garden refurb has created a space that will be specifically used for growing herbs and vegetables for use in our kitchen.
The local economy
Our Community Hub is now supported by a Canvas Community Network, or CCN, which will be run through a brand new Canvas website (launched later this year) that will connect Hub users and their ideas to a wider network of Canvas community business, including large corporations like Investec, Nuffield Health, Wieden and Kennedy and Second Home. These organisations will provide mentorship and support to enable the Hub events and ideas to grow, providing incubation as well as space for these grassroots projects.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We are creating training opportunities in partnership with the DWP to be able to turn both our Creative Space and our Community Hub into daytime training centres, offering free training courses to young people in our local area. This has been made possible due to the transformation of these areas.
Arts, culture & heritage
The Hub is now fully equipped to support art exhibitions, live performances and rehearsals.
