Creation of a learning and activity hub within school grounds accessible to the public that is focussed on the environment, sustainability and health and wellbeing.
About the Project Creator
I'm a parent governor and vice chair of Pelsall Village School who wants to help our school make the most of our grounds for the use of the pupils and wider community in a project we have developed called The Nectar room. I'm also an ambassador for landscape helping to promote the importance of landscape towards a robust, resiliant and sustainable future.
Pelsall Village School is a primary school within Walsall Metropoitan Borough near its border with Staffordshire. The school has a high number of pupils from deprived backgrounds on its role both from the immediate area and from other parts of the borough.
The headmaster, Glyn Bagley wishes to promote community involvement with the school and use of the grounds for health and well-being based on environmental and horticultural projects. The staff are extremely supportive of the project and are very excited about the opportunities this will give their pupils.
I will be leading the project with the support of the parent governors association, head teacher and staff initially with a steering group set up for the long term running.
The team responsible for building or installing the project.
