The Mix” Crosby CIC is a well-established youth project for 13-17 year-olds and its venue is in the centre of the pedestrianised area of Crosby, operating from a Community Room within The George Hotel. It is managed by two fully-qualified and DBS-cleared Youth Workers who are well-experienced in making meaningful relationships with young people and the community and in organising activities and running events. Young people can expect to make new friends, develop their communication and inter-personal skills, explore their identity, experience decision-making and increase their self-confidence.
“The Mix” aims to provide young people with somewhere to go and something to do in a safe, inclusive environment where they can expect to make new friends, develop their communication and inter-personal skills, explore their identity experience decision-making and increase their self-confidence as they socialise after school/college.
One of our biggest focus points is to encourage our members to put something into their community. We have done this by partnering with the Crosby Town Team CIC and we help and assist with their year-round events to raise funds to pay for an annual Christmas Tree and lights. All our members were involved in the lead-up to this year’s Switch-On event by helping to decorate the area and by offering to be official street collectors on the day
