About the Project Creator
I am the founder of the Go Africa Cultural Festival in UK and Fashion4Africa project showcase. Although I now work in the Health & Social Care industry and I'm a radio host at The London Metropolitan University, by profession I am an event management consultant, who has coordinated several international summits and conferences: including the African Union Summit in The Gambia in 2006 and International Roots Festival in 2008, to open doors to the Diaspora for business opportunities. In 2009, I was appointed as a project assistant at AFFORD UK (The African Foundation for Development), however, soon after I was moved to office management where I initiated and supported Afford UK projects through event coordinating and marketing. I succeeded twice putting together partners to enhance the contribution of the African Diaspora in African Development, by organising AFFORD UK’s participation in Global Enterprise Week (GEW), African Women In Business and Creative Industries contribution to African Development hosted at REED SMITH. I have operated in the UK and The Gambia hosting several creative programs and contributing to various media houses including NAW, Black Hair & Beauty, FAB Mag, The Promota Mag, BlackHair Mag, Whytt Mag, The Islington Tribune, The Voice Newspaper and her own column in the Daily Observer Gambia newspaper.
