Curate Your Genius (CYG) is a social enterprise that helps people and communities uncover their unique strengths, tell their stories with confidence, and use creativity as a tool for change.
Founded by creative consultant and storyteller Shae Eccleston, CYG works at the intersection of creativity, wellbeing and community development. Our programmes give young people and adults alike the space to explore who they are, what matters to them, and how their lived experiences can shape stronger, more connected communities.
At the heart of everything we do is a belief that there is genius in everyone – sometimes it just needs the right environment to be seen, nurtured and celebrated. Through workshops, mentoring, storytelling and co-creation, we help participants develop confidence, purpose and leadership.
CYG’s work spans multiple strands:
-
Creative development and storytelling – using art, film, podcasting, writing and design to help people express their voice and values.
-
Youth empowerment and mentoring – supporting young people to find purpose, improve wellbeing and lead change within their schools or communities.
-
Community engagement and partnership – collaborating with local councils, schools, charities and grassroots groups to build inclusive spaces where every story matters.
We’ve delivered successful projects across London and beyond, including youth leadership programmes, mental health ambassador training, community storytelling events and creative showcases. Our collaborations with organisations such as LocalMotion, Exodus Youth Worx UK and the NHS North Central London ICB demonstrate our ability to bridge creative practice with social impact.
This campaign will help us grow our Finding Purpose programme, a tried-and-tested journey of self-discovery for young people. By supporting it, backers will be helping to create safe, nurturing environments where young people can express themselves, build skills for life, and inspire pride in their communities.
