More about our impact
The environment
Consumables made from 100% recycled paper. Furniture locally sourced and recycled. A no plastics policy in place. Waste paper recycled.
The local economy
Working with local businesses and charities to buy furniture and supplies. Local businesses benefitting from increased footfall to the city centre.
Volunteering, jobs & education
3 new volunteering roles start in March 2022. New mental health art courses starting Easter 2022.
Arts, culture & heritage
Working closely with local arts organisations. Time set aside for local artists to access the space and library for their own professional development. The Art Room is now a centre for Arts Award, offering art qualifications to young people aged 5-25. Further qualifications in GCSE and A level will be offered in 2022!
