The idea
Tenbury Foodbank consists of three projects:
1. Foodbank collection point: where people can they can pick up a food parcel for themselves or others at an agreed time
2. Delivery: we deliver locally and to the rural hinterland those who cannot come to the site either because they are self isolating or don’t have transport
3. Foodshare runs once per week in the open air where we share fresh produce, some donated and some bought
We also collect donations from local supermarkets and from other donation points and also from individuals.
What we'll deliver
- Non perishable food and supplies for people in need
Why it's a great idea
We try to ensure that whatever financial pressure there might be, no one and no family has to to be hungry.
Steps to get it done
- We will advertise this project through traditional means and through social media
- We will notify all our partner organisations again of the existence of the project
- We will issue a press release to all local media
