LearnPlay Foundation (LPF) is not for profit organisation (with asset lock) that is constituted with Members without shareholding. The company was established in 2007 with the overarching ambition to make a difference to people’s lives from all communities, but particularly those that are facing adversity, disadvantage, exclusion and marginalisation due to a range of socio-economic & environmental factors and/or physical, mental health/multifaceted needs.
Our main aim is to empower communities by:
-
enabling digital inclusion & access to digital & creative skills in addition to delivering learning, technical & soft skills in engaging and compelling ways using gamification & creative digital media to break down barriers & capture hearts & minds with the end goal being to move people towards further learning, creative pathways & economic activity.
-
developing & curating social change & community led projects which provide social value.
-
exposing communities to cutting edge technology via guided sessions to explore the art of the possible via a digital sand pit approach
We understand digital and have used and exploited it as a core component in everything that we do. We have introduced young people & communities of all ages to basic IT familiarisation through to advanced digital activities such as graphics design, video production, interactive games design and augmented & virtual reality solutions.
