Our club (Est 1894) has been chosen, as one of the most successful thriving women's hockey clubs in England, to take over the running of St Margaret's Pastures Sports Centre in the heart of Leicester City - and we have exciting plans in the pipeline!

Our club has a long-standing reputation for providing young people and adults in Leicestershire with safe, accessible and inspirational hockey and multi-sport opportunities, for all levels, ages and abilities.

We now have a game changing opportunity to turn St Margaret's Pastures Sports Centre into a thriving modern city sports hub for everyone to access. This will only be achieved if we can ignite local support and backers behind this ambitious vision.

Our city-based community currently do not have the opportunity to readily access an inspirational top-quality pitch, with all the coaching and club benefits that come with this.

The nearest top quality pitch is 6 miles out of the city, causing travel and access barriers which are preventing more people experiencing the sport.

There is an exceptionally talented coaching team in place, with role models that work out in the communities to inspire more people into playing, coaching and volunteering opportunities.

Project Owner: Leicester City Hockey Club The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.

Contractor : Notts Sport The team responsible for building or installing the project.
