The idea
Regardless of the measures in place during this pandemic SEAPIA will endeavour to offer continuous support and provide stimulating and rewarding opportunities to the children and families of Sands End.
In these uncertain times SEAPIA will adapt to the needs of the children by providing a full on-site program of activities that will build on childrens’ skills, knowledge, and behaviours. Young people will improve their adventure skills, artistic talents, and physical abilities, they will receive emotional support from a fully trained staff team.
100% reliant on funding, fundraising, and non-profit income, we want to raise 25% of the cost to employ 3 members of staff for 1 year, plus equipment.
What we'll deliver
- art therapy
- physical play
- music sessions
- sensory play
- IT facilities
- outreach work
Why it's a great idea
When lockdown ends children need to access a facility that will enrich their lives.
Playing in an outdoor environment will improve children’s physical and mental well-being and promote their social skills. Children will have improved co-ordination skills, express themselves by being creative and productive.
Parents will be confident that their children will be in a safe place where they will be nurtured. Children’s confidence will grow as they will be enjoying the outside environment, interacting with their peers they will learn new skills and share stories and build new friendships.
