The idea
Malvern Special Families provides stimulating and fun activities for the children of Worcestershire with disabilities.
We want to run a series of after school clubs, Saturday clubs, and holiday clubs with exciting activities such as kayaking, kite flying, cooking and swimming. But we need your help!
We plan to keep our clubs open throughout the rest of the Covid crisis ensuring children have access to healthy outdoor and indoor pursuits but our funds are running low and we need some help in order to be able to deliver our next series of clubs this winter and through to Spring.
What we'll deliver
- Saturday clubs, evening clubs and Holiday clubs for children with disabilities
- Qualified play leaders and play workers
Why it's a great idea
Many of the children who attend our clubs have been cooped up in flats with no outside space during Covid-19 . Our clubs will give those children access to healthy outdoor activities and fun-packed indoor activities, where they can play, let off steam and have lots of fun in a safe environment .
All the children benefit from these activities, whatever their disability . The clubs are for children and young people in Worcestershire aged 5-18 , and are held in Worcester and Malvern .
In addition to the children, our clubs also benefit their families, enabling them to have a much needed break . We help over 150 children and their families throughout Worcestershire .
